Sequestration
Sequestration Cuts is a laughably absurd representation of what is taking place. When the rubber meets the road, the reality is that the budget will be increased by 66% over the next ten years without sequestration or increased by 65% over the next ten years with sequestration. Has your pay gone up over six percent every year for the last ten? Will you starve if it only goes up six percent every year for the next ten? I’ll take a sequestration cut any day.
For sequestration to become a cut, it would have to be 42 times larger. If we were to actually reduce spending it would need to be even higher. Now that would be something to get behind as long as they removed the exemptions (which are mostly on spending doing the most harm) and leveled the 50% skew against defense spending.
