We decided to name the kids swingset/fort Fort Justice.  Well, on the front it will say Fort Justice and on the back it will say Fort Mercy.  Hopefully an object lesson of how God operates.

I just came across Nahum in my Bible reading.  These verses seemed applicable showing God’s power over the wicked (justice), but also His mercy toward them if they will repent.

Nahum 1:2-3

God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
