The US Government Did What?

I have an idea.  We should petition congress to create a law that would stop them from being involved in things they shouldn’t like health care, auto companies, welfare, etc.  No wait, they wouldn’t want to limit their own power and they’d probably ignore the law or find some way around it anyway.  I know, we should add it as an amendment to the constitution.  No wait, that would never work, those are even harder to pass than laws.  It’s too bad our founding fathers didn’t anticipate this problem and write something that would make it clear what the federal government can’t do.  Oh wait, they did.
